Technologist
Self-taught from a childhood spent taking software apart to see what was inside. Web, design, automation and the systems that tie them together, still built by the person explaining them to you.
Specialist in business and organizational systems and infrastructure. I help organizations and brands run successfully through strategy, marketing and the systems underneath them.

A decade of building companies, starting with a fifty dollar website sold door to door and running through to a holding company with four businesses operating under it.
Planting trees whose shade arrives later. Time, systems and infrastructure given to communities here in Atlanta and back home in Sierra Leone.
What I do
What started as a fascination with technology became a career as a freelancer, and then the work owners call me for when the thing underneath is broken: working out what is not working, fixing the underlying problem, and building a better way to operate. These are the three places that curiosity ended up being useful.
Deciding what the business is actually for before anything gets built on top of a shaky answer. What it sells, to whom, and why that combination wins.
Turning that strategy into workflows, automations and infrastructure that keep running whether or not the owner is watching. Machines, not heroics.
Making a business legible to the people it wants, so the right clients arrive already understanding what they are buying and why it costs what it costs.
I take this work on as The Brand Craftsman, the consulting practice inside MK Holding Co.

Ventures
The long-running ones, with their own people and their own reason to exist. Some are companies, some are communities. Each serves a different stage of the same relationship, with the holding company behind them.
The holding company. Partnering with and investing in organizations across technology, consulting, real estate and industrial services.
Holding companyThe workbench. Stories, tools and community for owners forging a business into what they actually want it to be.
Community and media
Partnering with, restructuring and acquiring businesses from the inside out. An operational partner rather than just a check.
Investment and acquisitionsFrom the workbench
Tools, solutions and organizations, each one started where an existing obstacle deserved a better solution.
The story
My family is from Sierra Leone, and I have spent most of my life in Atlanta. What started as a fascination with technology became a career as a freelancer, and it never lost the original habit: taking things apart to see how they work. First code, then whole businesses.
Building websites meant learning design, so I taught myself that too, then copywriting, then systems. What I ended up with is an unusual mix. The creative designer, the technician and the marketer in one person, which meant I could carry a client from a new look all the way through to what that look actually earned them.
The rest was learned the expensive way. A fifty dollar website sold door to door. A six hundred dollar check that changed the trajectory. A detour that cost me nearly everything, and the years spent rebuilding after it.
The shelf
The continuing education happened outside a classroom. These are a few of the books that left a mark, and that I still hand to clients when the problem they are describing has already been written about properly.

Names the trap exactly: working in the business instead of on it. Build it so it runs without you.

Strategy fails on delivery, not on ideas. The discipline of actually getting things done.

The Anvil
The Anvil is where the work gets shared before it is polished. Transformation stories from real businesses, the templates and systems coming out of client work, and the occasional thing I got wrong and had to rebuild.
