A practice that picks itself
Today's Practice surfaces one audio file, so the daily ritual does not depend on deciding what to listen to.
Web app
A personal media library and knowledge hub for audio, video and documents, built for daily practice, deep focus and long-term reflection.
Most saved media never gets a second visit. Files pile up with no sense of what is in them and no reason to open any particular one today.
My PD attacks both problems. A Today's Practice card surfaces one audio file each day, so there is always an obvious place to start. Summaries on every item mean you can tell at a glance what something covers before committing twenty minutes to it.
Alongside the media sits a Vault: a personal knowledge base of terms, topics and ideas, each with its own follow-up question thread so you can keep digging into a concept without leaving the app.
In practice
Today's Practice surfaces one audio file, so the daily ritual does not depend on deciding what to listen to.
A summary on every item, written or generated from the transcript, so you can judge a forty-minute talk before committing to it.
Drop it into the Vault, get a definition and an example, then keep asking follow-up questions in the same thread without leaving the app.
A walkthrough video for this one is in production.
Navigate by folder in list or grid view with square cover art. The player supports variable speed and 15-second skip, and keeps playing in the background, including audio from video, when the screen locks.
Add timestamped transcripts by tapping along while something plays, or paste existing text with SRT and VTT supported. Every item can carry a summary, written by hand or generated from its transcript.
Group related items into tagged collections, each with its own custom header image. Built for a course, a theme, or a recurring practice series.
A personal knowledge base alongside your media, with a follow-up question thread on every entry.
Rename, move and tag items in place. Deleted items go to Trash with a 30-day recovery window, with restore and confirm-to-delete built in.
Large uploads are chunked and resumable, so they survive a flaky connection. Streaming playback means large videos start instantly instead of downloading in full. Dark and light themes, pull-to-refresh and an optional passcode lock.
My PD is not publicly listed. Ask for a walkthrough and I will show you how it works, or tell me if you would like to build on it together.
